A lot of people don’t know the true reason and meaning K-Pop has to people. Let me start to break it down for you. There are sub-sections in K-Pop such as, stans, fans, different labels, biases, and what each member in the group does. Not only is it multi-media, but it also has things to where the members are models. If you want to get into K-Pop then the best thing is to look up any BTS song mainly. It would also help to ask around and do research on it.
Introducing K-Pop
The groups that most people know about is:
Boy Groups:
- BTS
- Stray Kids
- Enhypen
- Seventeen
- Boyz
- NCT
- BOYNEXTDOOR
- RIIZE
- TXT
Girl Groups:
- Blackpink
- Itzy
- Twice
- Aespa
- Red Velvet
- LE SSERAFIM
- (G)I-DLE
- NAYEON
- BABYMONSTER
This is because they are very popular out of all of the groups, there are many more groups, but if you just want to get started to see if you like K-Pop then I would start with these groups first. Many people assume that all members either sound the same or that the boy groups sound like girls when singing.
Though these are just stereotypical rumors it still makes the fans mad and it doesn’t help the artists feel better about their insecurities. On the other hand, it does remind them on how they can surprise new listeners with their voice and the notes they can hit. Its nice to see new people listen and react to them, because it means that they are becoming more popular and are spreading around the world gradually.

Though they are getting more popular and are gradually getting to people around the world doesn’t mean that a lot of people know who they are. There are still plenty of people in the world who I think should start listening to it and I hope that this blog helps encourage that. I also hope it shows and explains to them how important it really is to some people.
What makes it so important to fans?
Some of the reasons K-Pop is important is because it’s like a getaway for some people, like an escape from reality. Not only do they go to it as a support to the artist, the artists also support you. For instance, the leader from Stray Kids, Bang Chan, used to do lives on vlive called “Channie’s Room”. He would go live and talk to the fans and give them support if they needed it, if you would like to watch these old lives you can on YouTube.
Fans also have been saved from suicide because of the artists and idols. This is sometimes because they can only find comfort with them and might not be able to find that with family if their family is broken and has family issues. Even people who can go to their family sometimes like the support of the artists better. I can vouch for that because I feel this way sometimes when I just got in a fight with my mom or family or just even got yelled at. Sometimes I just want to feel that support anytime I feel bad about myself or just want to hear it.
