Throughout my childhood I have experienced so many great films and heard amazing stories of life on other planets. I’ve always dreamed of traveling to one. My dream might not be shared by everyone, but if we don’t take the right moves, in the future everyone might have to live in what little Abel always thought was impossible.

Space exploration has been a cornerstone of the world since the mid 1900’s. There have been so many major events that have happened because of space exploration(you can check out my first blog for more details about the history of space exploration). The ISS is also an amazing part of that history. It allows us to constantly be analyzing space and also looking back down to Earth as well.

Space Exploration is a massive topic, with so many different things to delve(it’s not chat gpt, I just like this word) into. As a whole space exploration allows us to do so many amazing, and extremely important things. While some people urge that it is more important to focus on the earth than the stars, given that exploring space allows us to understand Earth better along with allowing us to save Earth with more knowledge than we had before, it is my view that Space Exploration is something that us as a world needs to prioritize going into the future.

Space Exploration allows us to better understand the Earth and see it in way we couldn’t see before. According to the article, “Learning About Earth From Space“, it says that, “The perspective available from NASA satellites provides a scientific understanding of Earth’s interconnected systems and the planet’s response to natural and human-induced changes.” This means that without space exploration there would still be many different topics that we wouldn’t be as educated on.

Without Space Exploration we wouldn’t be able to fight climate change as well as we do now. According to the text, “How Space Science can Help us Combat Climate Change“, it states that, “Today, hundreds of miles above the Earth’s surface, a vast network of satellites is collecting data on our planet’s climate system. These satellites provide accurate measurements of the temperature of our oceans, land and atmosphere.” This means that without Space Exploration it would be a lot more difficult to track and analyze data that leads us to causes of climate change. Also, through satellites we are able to track and analyze data about the build up of the O-zone layer.

Someone might agree with everything that I have said so far, but are still worried that we are to focused on what’s happening in the stars. I say to that, the main focus of Space Exploration right now is learning more about Earth. The technology isn’t advanced enough for space agencies to be looking further that Pluto.

Many people say that we are focusing to much and wasting to many valuable reocources on advancing the exploration of space, I say that we are not furthing the advancemnt of space, I say that we are furthing the understanding of Earth. Through the almost hundred years of space travel we have learned so much. While some people urge that it is more important to focus on the earth than the stars, given that exploring space allows us to understand Earth better along with allowing us to save Earth with more knowledge than we had before, it is my view that Space Exploration is something that us as a world needs to prioritize going into the future.
