Bullying is known as a physical and emotional issue.There have been many cases that lead to depression but most of the cases involve with kids and teens being bullied at school.There is a 18% of percentage for people who have Depression today. Depression is a major depressive disorder is a common and serious mental disorder that negatively affects how you feel, think, and act.Bullying can also result in long-term behavioral health issues. People who have Depression feel overwhelmed and little down. Life experience for them becomes a long period of sadness, exhibiting behavioral issues, and not wanting to participate in activities.

Therefore there are kids and teens who have tried to avoid getting bullied by moving to another state, school, or country.But, some struggle with the idea of knowing how their past was and are afraid to even begin a new stage of their life.While on the other hand, parents disagree with the idea of moving because they think kids just exaggerate and don’t even know what they are going through.When kids or teens don’t have their parents support they feel more weakened and have no one to count on. But, all a parent can do is comfort their children or even go talk to the school or the person doing this to their children. As a parent I can imagine that bullying and depression can be a very heartbreaking thing for them.The best option as a parent can be to take your child to therapy or find mental health support.

Symptoms of depression being caused by bullying

There are many times where a person is just not the same person as who they really were before experiencing bullying and later on outset to depression for this reason.Children get stressed with the fact knowing they have to go back to the same place daily and

  • Withdrawing from family or friends
  • Receiving low grades
  • Seek support from a trusted adult
  • Low of self-esteem

Bullying can lead to feelings of rejection, anger frustration, loneliness, and a poor self-image.Victims may also withdraw from family and friends, and have poor social or relational skills. Many teens may not even talk, they act like everything is normal and keep a poor self image.But, many parents start realizing until something has happened to their kids or either their are times teens threaten their parents of taking their life away and that is where parents react and want to take them to therapy or either tell the school.
